Your Responsibilities

As Head of Medical Staffing, you'll Responsible for ensuring that the onboard medical centers are staffed with highly qualified professionals. Manage recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and performance evaluation, while supporting exceptional patient care. Set sail on a journey of medical leadership and apply today!

  • Ensure that the onboard medical centers of Carnival Maritime are staffed with highly qualified and competent medical professionals (doctors, nurses, and healthcare assistants)

  • Manage all aspects of the medical staffing journey including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and performance evaluation

  • Source, select and retain exceptional healthcare talents and support the medical staffing needs

  • Support high quality patient care through education of medical staff and conduct clinical, patient complaint and medico-legal reviews

  • Undertake duties as required, including Health Operations Center (HOC) on-duty support and other specific brand requests related with the scope of the position

Your Profile

  • University degree in medicine from a recognized university

  • A Medical License and Registration with a Recognized Body is mandatory

  • Professional experience in the area of maritime medicine both ship and preferably shore

  • Having a professional experience in appraisal & investigation trainings, and life support certification aligned with ship medicine requirements

  • Having a Board certification / certificate of completion of medical training is mandatory. Previous experience as a Ship´s doctor is highly desirable

  • Leadership experience in a medical role is required

  • In depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, licensing requirements and compliance standards

  • Proficient in Data Privacy, Security, and Integrity

  • Demonstrated effectiveness in independently investigating problems and moving them towards resolution

  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities

  • Organized/structured work approach, safety driven with good ethical and value behavior

  • Specific or methodological IT Skills

  • Strong English communications skills, written and oral (English is the official company’s language)
