Carnival Cruise Line Inventory Analyst in Miami, Florida

Job Description

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for developing and executing the shore-side warehouse Inventory, replenishment strategies, audits and leads cycle counts/shipments: including reordering, expediting, tracking, and communications. This position ensures security and accountability of inventory through transaction documentation, process and procedure verification, and system review. The Inventory Analyst also leads analytical and operational support to the Supply Chain team. The role collaborates with management to develop and drive new analytical reports and tools that are presented to the Executive team. Synthesizes large quantities of purchasing and inventory related data from various purchasing/finance systems into actionable qualitative and quantitative analyses. Makes recommendations and implements updates using data results and/or analysis of processes.

Job Functions:

  • Define, evaluate, analyze, and place Inventory replenishment orders based on analysis provided for the purchasing management team. Create and/or modify reports showing trends used for implementing recommended changes. Interpret data and present succinct, concise results. Provides the team with concrete conclusions supported by data. Recommends and implements new processes determined to be needed based on data and analytics.

  • Analyze current processes and data maintenance for all purchasing systems used by CCL. Using the results of the analysis, suggest and implement improvements to shorten order cycle time and to ensure accuracy of data entered the system. Follow up with vendor support on past due orders and keep system up to date with changes to orders and deliveries.

  • Issue transfers for shipboard and shoreside requests placed in Oracle iProcurement. Develop new tools and reports to analyze data independently and collaboratively.

  • Run existing reports to update Inventory tracking sheet and provide those reports to various department heads.

  • Identify obsolete inventory and communicate to the appropriate departments for actioning on ongoing operations including submitting orders and maintaining contracts, pricing and vendors in the various purchasing systems.

  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned by the Inventory Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Education: bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Finance or another related Degree required.

  • Work Experience: 3+ years of purchasing or inventory management experience required.

  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Communication Skills, Microsoft Office. Proficient in computer and ease in working with computer systems. Analytics, solid understanding of database architecture. Report Writing skills, Strong Excel skills, understanding of supply chain data. Self-motivated; dedicated; good/working understanding of database architecture.

Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

Travel: No travel.

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Other job specific working conditions: May need to visit the Warehouse on occasion.

The range for this role’s salary $53,000-$67,500. Offers to the selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
